AireSpring (News - Alert), one of the fastest growing telecommunications carriers in the USA, has announced another industry leading new product. “AirePBX” is a new fully managed cloud hosted IP PBX (News - Alert) that brings a powerful but affordable PBX solution to business customers nationwide, according to company officials. The service offers the same feature-rich functionality as AireSpring’s popular Dymanic X SMB small business products, but with no hardware to buy, install, configure, host, or maintain (customers will only need to maintain IP telephones).
“AirePBX brings the flexibility and cost savings of AireSpring’s integrated voice and data products to companies who want the freedom of not having to host their own telecom equipment,” Todd Regan, senior vice president of marketing, told TMCnet in a recent interview. “AireSpring takes care of all the hosting, equipment maintenance, and backend set up as well as delivering safe and secure voice and internet on one low cost data circuit. What this means is that the customer gets a state of the art phone system with enterprise class service and support for one low price.”
AireSpring decided to enter the cloud hosted PBX space because it is merely an extension of the company’s existing local offerings. Since the IP communications company has long been an award-winning leader in integrated voice and internet service, it seemed a natural fit to begin offering Cloud Hosted IP PBX at the same price as our standard telecom services.
The idea to offer AirePBX came from customers and agents asking AireSpring to offer SMB products. At the time, however, AireSpring was focused on rounding out their Enterprise IP network and products first.
“Now that our network has fully launched and has received critical acclaim, we are able to layer SMB products like POTs replacement and Cloud Hosted IP PBX on top of that network,” Regan said. “Our SMB customers are essentially supported by a very high end enterprise class network. Not only is it a great deal, it’s fantastic security and peace of mind.”
One of the key advantages of AirePBX is that it is offered over the company’s nationwide fully managed next generation IP backbone. The solution allows customers to have a hosted solution over an end to end managed network that fully controls voice quality issues that traditionally plague VOIP implementations, officials argue.
AirePBX is an SMB service aimed at small to medium businesses who either can’t afford to host and support their own equipment or who would like to save that cost.
“For some customers, giving up their current equipment and moving to hosted is not only a cost saver but a significant upgrade in telecom features and options,” Regan said.
Aside from introducing its latest offering, AireSpring has its finger on the pulse when it comes to cloud IP PBX trends and it is particularly eager to tackle a bad trend that is currently hitting the marketplace.
“Far too many IP PBX services simply send the customer phones and expect them to just plug them into their existing internet and expect them to work,” Regan said. “What often ends up happening is that the customer will get unreliable phone service. Sometimes the calls sound great, sometimes they sound like you are talking through a tin can, and sometimes you can’t make a call at all. That’s just bad for the customer and the whole telecom industry.”
“AireSpring gets around that problem by delivering a fully managed data circuit to the customer and layering enterprise class voice and features on top of that,” he added. “We have full control over the quality of service at all times and voice calls are not routed through the unreliable public internet. It doesn’t matter how many features are offered if the service doesn’t sound good. We focus on quality as the primary driver of service. I think that’s why this product has taken off much faster than expected. There was a real need out there for a Cloud Hosted IP PBX which actually delivers quality equal to or better than non-IP telephone service. “
