SviazExpocomm 2012, the largest ICT event in Russia and Eastern Europe, will give Mitel (News - Alert) an opportunity to showcase its virtual Communications Director software (vMCD), and its latest Applications Suite (MAS 4.0).

MAS is a comprehensive, integrated solution that combines collaboration, mobility, messaging into a single application, and helps deliver advanced IP communications capabilities that can be customized to meet growing needs, according to company officials.

The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development (News - Alert) and Innovation, in partnership with the Canadian Embassy in Moscow has brought over 600 exhibitors from more than 25 countries and Mitel together at the event. Mitel has been very active and successful in the Russian market, according to company officials.

By bringing together Mitel and other market leaders in ICT, the Ontario-Canada ICT Mission to SviazExpocomm is expected to showcase Canada's expertise in ICT to a rapidly developing market.

"The Russian telecom market, amongst the largest in the world, continues to grow and develop rapidly and remains a high prospect, yet little explored, market for Canadian companies in the ICT sector, said John C. Sloan, Canadian ambassador to Russia.

The Mitel Affiliates program help customers leverage Mitel IP communications infrastructure and systems to gain a greater ROI while the representative office is certified to sell and support certain Mitel's portfolio of business communications and collaboration solutions, along with solutions from Wesley Clover (News - Alert) International Corporation, in Russia and surrounding areas

In other industry news, IP communications company AireSpring (News - Alert) recenlty announced its plans to fill the position of Winback Specialist (WBS), a person who will focus on re-establishing business relationships with AireSpring’s former customers. Reporting to the senior director of account management, the WBS is responsible for achieving an assigned account winback, sales and profit goal.
