Net Insight to Upgrade Nimbra-Based Media Network of EMEA Company

Without revealing the name of the company, Net Insight (News - Alert), a provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, has won a contract from a communications infrastructure and media services company based in the EMEA region. Under this agreement, Net Insight will work to upgrade that EMEA-based company’s existing Nimbra-based media network.
Net Insight will offer uplinking, connectivity and playout solutions to the existing core network consisting of Nimbra nodes of that company.
Net Insight has a broad client base and is known to offer the most efficient and scalable transport solution for broadcast and IP media, digital terrestrial TV, mobile TV and IPTV (News - Alert)/CATV networks. The company serves to more than 150 world-class customers who run mission critical video services over Net Insight products in more than 50 countries. The company offers Quality of Service with three times improvement in utilization of bandwidth for a converged transport infrastructure.
The media network from Net Insight is allowing the company to operate efficiently through a single platform and to bring new services to its broadcast customers in a cost-efficient way.
The new core network offers uncompressed media services between its main core uplink locations in order to meet the ever increasing demand for these types of services from its clients.
With agreement with Net Insight, the core network has the flexibility to offer bulk delivery of ASI, IP, SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and JPEG2000 compressed versions of SD, HD and 3G SDI from any port to any port on its core network and in any direction, whether unicast or multicast.Want to learn more about the latest in communications and technology?
