AireSpring's AirePBX: A Powerful Solution in IP Communications
January 15, 2013
By Steve Anderson, Contributing TMCnet Writer
Establishing IP communications, especially in cases like VoIP and PBX (News - Alert), is at once both getting much easier and also somewhat more difficult, for largely the same reason. There is an increasingly large number of firms offering these kinds of services, but AireSpring (News - Alert) is out to step things up a notch or two with its AireSpring AirePBX cloud-hosted PBX service, a service with plenty of features included to make it a terrific value proposition.
AireSpring's AirePBX runs on a fully-managed end-to-end solution to make the service as reliable as possible. While reliability is a top consideration for many firms looking to get a start in IP PBX communications, the features offered make this an even better consideration.
AirePBX includes some very top-notch features for business communications, like the popular find me/follow me system and advanced call routing options that make it easier for callers to connect with specific members of the business, a measure that's great for businesses with large sales forces. Better yet, AirePBX even comes standard with an auto-attendant system complete with interactive voice response (IVR) and several different dialing services, including name and extension dialing, as well as support for department dialing and even hunt groups, allowing customers to be more readily funneled to their most appropriate contact. Click-to-call functionality is also available, making contact with a business as easy as adding a button to e-mail or a Web page, allowing those who want to reach a business to just click that button and make the call direct from their computers.
While outside contacts trying to reach a business' personnel get a lot of support with AirePBX, there will be plenty of support for those inside the firm as well. For instance, AirePBX offers a system of "unified visual voicemail," which translates voice messages and faxes alike into e-mail attachments. Users needing to update their details--new phone numbers, new office addresses and the like--will find it easy to do so with the company's self-management portal. There are even some more unorthodox services, like call jump services that allow for rapid transfer from one phone to another, even from desk phones to wireless phones.
That's impressive enough by itself, but AireSpring is going to throw in plenty more to make this even better in terms of value. It’s going to throw in professional installation, at no charge, at the site interested in getting it established. It will add free IP desk phones with a three-year contract and will also add a fully-managed session border controller to manage the VoIP and data traffic involved.
That's a lot of value. Sure, AireSpring's AirePBX may not be for everybody, but there's certainly a lot going on to make it well worthwhile. There's a lot to consider when it comes to setting up a PBX system, and there are a lot of firms offering the services necessary to set them up. AireSpring's version has a lot to offer, and makes itself an excellent contender in a field full of possibilities.
