InterMetro Communications has expanded its direct end-office coverage to its existing FGD network thereby further extending its coverage within the United States. The company will also be able to provide additional high availability services, covering all its offerings.
This expansion will enable InterMetro to provide direct voice termination, DID, and origination services to a high-demand market. InterMetro will use its proprietary next-generation technology to enable deeper integration for better interoperability and to move towards true convergence.
Charles Rice, CEO of InterMetro said, “This network expansion will provide customers with the added capabilities the market is demanding by eliminating complexities potentially introduced by the use of multiple providers within a call stream. This topology ensures increased quality and direct availability.”
As a facilities-based IP communications provider, InterMetro offers enhanced voice and data communication services leveraging its own national, private, proprietary voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network infrastructure.
The switching equipment and software that powered the InterMetro network helps transport carrier-quality, cloud-based enhanced voice and data services that are customizable. The network powers converged communication services for wholesale transport carriers, wireless providers, broadband phone companies, VoIP service providers, prepaid service providers, and voice-enabled application service providers.
Eric Fuchs, CSO of InterMetro remarked, “This announcement marks an exciting time for InterMetro. The voice market is requesting direct end-office coverage; InterMetro is committed to responding to and fulfilling our customers’ market needs.”
InterMetro’s VoIP network infrastructure serves customers like carriers, resellers, and prepaid providers who require voice and data IP convergence. The company’s proprietary backend tools facilitate real-time monitoring of customer’s traffic thus ensuring maximum performance and scalability.
The conveniently located PoPs across the U.S are equipped to deliver a variety of interconnection methods according to customer needs. Also traffic interconnection can be achieved irrespective of whether the customer uses TDM, IP, ISDN, Feature Group D, or SS7.
